The 1950's - a time when television was emerging from its infancy. it was a decade dominated by American television shows, shows that were later to be hailed as "classics" Shows such as "I Love Lucy", "Dragnet", "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" and a clutch of Westerns including "Gunsmoke", "Wagon Train", "Cheyenne", "Rawhide", "Maverick", "Hopalong Cassidy" and of course "Tales of Wells Fargo" gripping series that kept enthralled viewers glued to their black and white television sets.
In "Tales of Wells Fargo", Dale Robertson played Wells Fargo special agent Jim Hardie . The 30-minute NBC western series started in 1957 and lasted six seasons culminating in the later episodes being in colour and being 60 minutes long. Throughout the series Dale Robertson narrated the episodes as Jim Hardie.
In the series, Jim Hardie rode horses called "Fargo",
"Jubilee", and "Leo Jr".

Theme 1: "Tales of Wells Fargo" composed by Stanley J. Wilson (music) and Mort Greene (lyrics).
